Salieron de allá en la década de los años 20, perseguidos por el comunismo. Llegaron a Cuba, donde prácticamente vivieron cerca de 50 años, hasta que nuevamente fueron víctimas del comunismo y en el año 70 se vinieron para Venezuela. Mi papá ya había nacido. Tenía 13 años."
"Vía México. Y de allí a Venezuela. Estuvieron 4 o 5 años tramitando la autorización de salida de La Habana. Como mi familia paterna es judía, hubo que hacer trámites con la embajada de Israel, que intervino, y así se obtuvo la autorización. No salieron en balsa pero de todos modos fue muy traumático. Mi abuelo tenía una textilera en La Habana y la perdió por completo. La casa de mi familia fue expropiada y pasó a ser un centro de formación socialista."
